Here on the beautiful campus of UVic, centered around the Interfaith Chapel, you will find a thriving, inclusive community focused on exploring mindfulness and spiritual well-being through numerous practices, events, and activities. The offerings present on this website are organized, facilitated, and energized by our on-campus United Church Chaplain, Henri Lock, in collaboration with students and community members that he helps to empower and inspire into leadership roles that deepen and enrich their lives and communities.
This is a diverse co-created space with something to interest everyone from our core practice of
meditation to experiential explorations such as Sacred
Ecology, and from our Sacred Drumming circles to our very popular conscious dance festivals. We even host a meditation retreat twice a year, fully inclusive of first-time meditators and students new to the campus! So drop on by the chapel, learn the basic yet transformative power of meditation, and make some new friends! Who knows, you might even be lucky enough to arrive on a particular Thursday when we have a free soup supper graciously donated by a local church or community member!
Also, if you haven’t checked it out yet, see the home page for a beautiful sampling of who we are and where you fit in. Welcome!
